Stocks limped to the finish line today, as there simply didn’t seem to be anyone left around to do any buying. Trading for 2017 has now come to a close, but it was a good year for stocks. We’ll talk more about that and what lies ahead in our 2018 First Quarter Outlook.
As for today, by the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 118 points to finish the day at 24,719. The S&P 500 was down 13 points to close at 2,673. Gold was up $8 to trade at $1,305 per ounce, while oil was up $.33 to trade at $60.17 per barrel WTI.
Let me just take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy New Year from all of us at CHJ. We are looking forward to 2018.
Have a great Holiday Weekend Everyone.
