Friends

Today marks our 6th anniversary here at CHJ. It’s been such a rewarding journey these past six years, and we can’t thank all of you enough for allowing us to be part of your lives. We take the trust you place in us very serious, and we continue to strive to provide you with the best investment management and planning experience in the industry. Again thanks.

As for today’s action-stocks spent the day in negative territory, but once again the losses were muted. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 45 points to close at 18,552. The S&P 500 was down 3 points to finish the day at 2,183. Gold was down $12 to trade at $1,344 per ounce, while oil was up $.17 to trade at $48.39 per barrel WTI.

For the week, stocks had a slightly negative bias but for the most part, things are quiet as we head into the final portion of the summer. Next week economist and Fed officials gather at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Perhaps something interesting will come from that gathering. We’ll be watching.

Have a great weekend everyone.
