Not surprisingly, given the news we got over the weekend on the medical front, stocks gave up Friday’s gains at the open this morning. As we mentioned last evening, the Fed has stepped up to provide liquidity and we expect a massive fiscal response this week. Obviously, things are moving quickly through this crisis, but we are seeing the type of response from governments and central banks that are warranted.

As states and cities around the country continue to force social distancing by closing places that people gather, the economic toll will be felt. At this point, though, the health of our citizens is the number one concern. Once we have mitigated the damage, we will have to put the economic picture back together. This will all take some time, but the sooner we all pitch in to help mitigate the damage the better. To that end, we are going to do our part here at CHJ. The fact that our business is all web/internet based, allows us to work remotely. You will still be able to reach us by calling the general business line at 281-298-2700. You can also reach us individually at the numbers listed below.

Jim – 281-475-7284

Scott – 210-632-9520

John – 713-553-3366

We will continue to keep you updated as the days and weeks unfold. We have quite a challenge ahead, but we will get through it together.
