Today’s release of this month’s Fed minutes seemed to indicate that the Fed might be close to slowing down interest rates hikes after the upcoming December meeting. Given that most traders are heading home for the Thanksgiving Holiday early, stocks didn’t have too much of a reaction.
By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 95 points to finish the day at 34,194. The S&P 500 was up 23 points to close at 4,027. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 110 points to close at 11,285. Gold was up $11 to trade at $1,751 per ounce, while oil was down $3.63 to trade at $77.32 per barrel WTI.
We want to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at CHJ. We always like to take a moment this time of year to thank you all for allowing us to be your guide on your financial journey. We are honored to serve you and will strive to continue to deliver the best service possible.
