Political headlines ,tariff talk, a major storm ravishing the southeast coast, and a rather weak retail sales numbers caused traders to be somewhat stagnant as stocks vacillated between negative and positive territory during today’s trading session.

By the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 8 points to finish the day at 26,154. The S&P 500 was up less than a point to close at 2,904. Gold was down $9 to trade at $1,198 per ounce, while oil was up $.37 to trade at $68.96 per barrel WTI.

The 10 year Treasury note briefly traded about 3% but settled at 2.99% by the close of trading. It has been a while since we’ve seen 3%, so though not really a sizable move, it is somewhat noteworthy. It was a decent week for stocks, but there still seems to be a lot of jittery market participants. We’ll see what next week has in store.

Have a great weekend everyone.
