More earnings reports and more mixed reaction. For instance, PepsiCo had a wonderful earnings release and the shares went up nicely during the trading session. Netflix stumbled a bit as did its shares for most of the trading session. IBM once again disappointed and IBM shares also had a difficult day. All in all, still a mixed bag of results.

As for stocks in general, it was a quiet session with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 3 points to close at 26,449. The S&P 500 was down 6 points to finish the day at 2,900. Gold was down $1 to trade at $1,276 per ounce, while oil was down $.30 to trade at $63.75 per barrel WTI.

Tomorrow, we will get earnings releases from Union Pacific, Honeywell, Schlumberger and Travelers- among others. So far, the worries of a disastrous 1st quarter earnings season seems to have been overblown- but it is still early. Let’s see how the week finishes out tomorrow. Remember, Friday the markets are closed.

Have a nice evening everyone.
